Darvis Elton Calhoun, 79 of Plano, Texas passed away December 2, 2012 in Frisco, Texas. He was born October 12, 1933 in Blue Ridge, Texas the son of Oscar and Rosa Driggers Calhoun. He married Frances Marie Barnett June 20, 1954 in Blue Ridge, Texas. He was retired from Kraft Foods where is served as office manager. He was a member of the Prairie Creek Baptist Church in Plano, Texas and he was an ordained deacon in the Miller Road Baptist Church in Garland. He is survived by his wife Frances of Plano, Texas and his children and spouses, Steve Calhoun and wife Melissa of Rowlett, Cindy Turner and husband Dexter, and Rodney Calhoun and wife Carol all of Plano, Texas. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren;Cassey Nieto, A.J. Calhoun, Griffin Turner and Todd Calhoun and 3 great grandchildren;Lily Nieto,Thomas Nieto and Christopher Nieto. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M Friday at the Prairie Creek Baptist Church in Plano, Texas with Rev. Charles McLeod and Dexter Turner officiating.Burial will follow at the Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge, Texas at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the Hurst's Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville, Texas.
