Alva Alman Campbell, Sr., my grandfather, was born Sept. 21, 1874 in Thayer, Neosho County, Kansas.

He died on Sept. 24, 1932, and is buried in the Oahu Cemetery, Honolulu, HI.

He continued in the military tradition serving with the USMC during the Spanish American War and World War I.

First marriage: Elma Hannum on January 1, 1907
Son: Richard A. Campbell, born around 1908

While stationed in Hawaii, he met my grandmother, Alice Biart.

Clarence (Buster) C. Campbell -- Born in Honolulu, HI. Died June 7, 1944, Normandy, France.
Technical Sergeant, U.S. Army 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division. Entered the Service from Hawaii.
He is buried at: Plot D Row 23 Grave 4, Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
Awarded the Purple Heart.
