BARBARA A. CAMPBELL HOOD ANGLUIN

Barbara A. Angluin, 75, of Dracut, formerly of Lowell, died Thursday evening, May 10, 2012 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo D. Hood and the late Robert J. Angluin.

Born in Lowell, May 28, 1936, the daughter of the late Richard Campbell and Marcella Kane Campbell, she attended St. Margaret Grammar School in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School in the Class of 1955.

Before retiring, Barbara was employed as a Sales Clerk at the former Prince's Stationary Store in Lowell for many years. In her earlier years she enjoyed skating with her friends.

A devoted mother who was kind and generous to all whom she met, she was all about family and loved spending quality time with her children and granddaughter.

She was also preceded in death by brother, Richard Campbell; sisters, Frances Terry, Mary Louise Lewis and Elizabeth Jelley.

Barbara is survived by a daughter, Karen A. Hood Dalphond (Mrs. Mark) LaFramboise of Dracut; two sons, Mark D. Hood of Dracut and David C. Hood of Lowell; a granddaughter, Courtney Rae Dalphond of Dracut; three sisters, Patricia Bailey of Lowell, Rose Marie Prescott of Nashua, NH and Marcella McGilvery of Lowell; a sister-in-law, Helen Campbell of Lowell; two stepsons, James Angluin of Haverhill and Shawn Angluin of New Hampshire; four step grandchildren, James, Robert, Michael and Mark Angluin; and many nieces, nephews and two dear friends, Barbara Clough of Chelmsford and Arlene Lamprey of Marlboro.

There will be no calling hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Committal Prayers on Monday morning at St. Mary Cemetery Chapel in Tewksbury at 11:30 a.m. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery in Tewksbury.
