OBITUARY:

ST. ALBANS- Mildred Alderson, 91, of St. Albans, died Friday, Jan. 16, 2004, at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.

She was retired from Embees Department Store with 35 years of service. She was a 50 year member of the Washington Street Church of Christ, St. Albans. Mildred was a lifelong resident of St. Albans.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mills Allen and Cora Wright Campbell; sisters, Freeda Campbell, Mabel White, and Macel Spurlock.

Mildred is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Lee and Sandra Alderson of Charleston; a sister, Edna Hott of St. Albans, two grandchildren, Deborah Butler and Bill Anderson; one great-granddaughter, Jean-Ann Ingram; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans, with Minister Michael Mayo and Minister Steve Fox officiating. Burial will be in Campbell Cemetery, Green Valley Drive, St. Albans.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers family suggest donations to Potter Children's Home, 2350 Nashville Road, Bowling Green, KY 42101.

Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Avenue, St. Albans, is in charge of arrangements.
