She was born November 20, 1917 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to the late Oatha and Mary Margaret Walsh) Cannary. She married Robert Eugene Hume on February 6, 1947 in Pittsburgh. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Grace and Florence and her brothers, Oatha, Harry and Roy.
Surviving are her daughters, Sue Hume Graham (Lew) of Lafayette and Kate Hume Householder of Park Ridge, Illinois and 5 grandchildren, Eric and Blake of Lafayette, and Anne, Grace, and Sarah of Park Ridge, Illinois.
