Amanda Sylvia Cannon Anderson, 82, died at home in Salt Lake City March 18, 1995.

Born September 1, 1912, in Bountiful, Utah to Eugena Silver and Quayle Cannon Sr. She married Volney Blaine Anderson November 12, 1934, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She is survived by her husband Blaine; and five children and spouses: Jerry B. (Shirley) of Price, Douglas Q. (Karen) of Brigham City, Byron C. (Gloria) of West Valley City, Edith (David) Streiff of Newport Beach, Calif.; and Mark A. (Pam) of Salt Lake City. She has 35 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren. Brothers are Orson S. (Dorothy) Cannon of Logan, A. Welden (Shirley) Cannon of Salem, Oregon; and sisters, Beth (Hugh) Brand of Holladay, and Merle Holmgren (Dwight) Anderson of Bear River City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Mrs. Anderson was active in the LDS Church as a Primary and Relief Society president, and a genealogy missionary. She enjoyed gardening, painting, doll restoration, rock collecting, and was a member of the DUP.

Funeral services will be Thursday, March 23, 12 noon at the Twentieth Ward Chapel, 2nd Ave and "G" Street, Salt Lake City, where friends may call one hour prior to the services, or at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday March 22, from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at Midvale City Cemetery.
