Stuart Quayle Cannon

Early Life: Stuart was born March 20, 1933, in Los Angeles, California, to loving parents, Winfield Quayle Cannon and Wanda Parkinson Cannon, the oldest of their four children. He grew up in Los Angeles, attending Los Angeles High School where he met his sweetheart, Sue Anne Crittenden.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Stuart and Sue attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, then married in the Salt Lake Temple on September 2, 1952. He later graduated from UCLA with an Engineering Degree. Together, they raised four children while living in Los Angeles, Fullerton, Placentia and Walnut Creek, California. Stuart started his career at Pacific Telephone where he worked for 30 years in various management positions. After retiring from PacTel in 1986, he worked 11 additional years at EBMUD in Oakland, California, retiring in 1998. He and Sue moved to Alpine, Utah, in 1999. Stuart served valiantly in various callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed basketball, skiing and golf. He was an accomplished woodworker and enjoyed making furniture and other items for many family members. He and Sue enjoyed traveling with their fifth wheel trailer for many years. Stuart Quayle Cannon, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, returned home to his Heavenly Father on February 21, 2014, surrounded by loved ones. He was 80 years old.
Survived By: His loving wife, Sue; his children: Scott Quayle Cannon, Shauna Cannon Merrill (Nate) and Steven Hunter Cannon (Kamille); siblings: Suzanne Cannon Young (Jerry), Michael Parkinson Cannon and Kathleen Cannon Brooks (the late Bill Brooks); thirteen grandchildren and their spouses; six great grandchildren; as well as, his beloved dog, Max.
Preceded In Death By: His parents and his daughter, Sally Cannon Williams.
