Bear River City – Mary Merle Holmgren Anderson, 91, died Sunday, December 20, 2015.

Mary was born May 1, 1924, in Bountiful, Utah, to Quayle and Eugena Cannon. She was the youngest of 10 children.

Mary graduated from East High in Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah where she was selected as the Sweetheart of Pi Kappa Alpha.

She married Lynne (Lindy) S. Holmgren on December 27, 1945, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mary and Lynne enjoyed 44 years together filled with love, adventure and their four children.

Lynne preceded her in death as well as her son Scott Cannon Holmgren.

Mary remarried Dwight R. Anderson in 1995 who also preceded her in death.

Surviving are three daughters, Shauna (John) Oyler, Newport Beach, CA; Suzanne (Michael) Kessler, Sandy, UT; and Shelley (Robert) Packer, Lafayette, CA; 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Interment Bear River City Cemetery.
