Additional information. According to Ship Manifest records, he arrived in America at the age of 13 on March 16, 1916 under the name Baptista. He was accompanied by mother Caterina and two sisters, Angela and Margherita. Their Italian city of residence was listed as Cogoelo, Vicenzo (Vicenza is a city and also a province in northern Italy.)
According to the 1920 Census for Mountain, Kittitas, Washington (District 77, page 5) he is listed under the name John Capovila. His father had the same name. He and his father worked in the coal mines. He had a brother named Pete, age 2.
According to the Washington Death Index, he died on 18 March 1951 in Ellensburg, and is listed as "John B."
