Assunta Maria Capovilla (Fabbrin), a Santa Barbara resident since 1936, peacefully passed away on Sunday 4 March 2012. Born 9 Aug 1912 in Castelfranco, Veneto, Italy. Assunta met and married the love of her life, Aldo Capovilla at the Santa Barbara Old Mission in 1936.
Assunta was self employed for many years and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Assunta was preceded in death by her beloved husband Aldo and daughter Frances. She is survived by her son Eddie and family, granddaughter Michelle Keuper (Ponce), Kelly Ponce and great-granddaughter Ariana Ponce.
We will miss you "Nonna".
A mass is planned for 10:00 am Monday 12 March at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Iterment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
