David Wayne Carey passed away April 10, 2017 at his home in Lander, WY. He was 62 years old. Dave was born August 13, 1954 in Wheatland, WY at the Rosene Hospital. He was the son of Kenneth and Betty (Sherwood) Carey.

Dave graduated in 1972 and started working at a uranium mine in Douglas to help fund his college education. He received an Associate degree from Casper College and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.

Data processing was what would become his lifelong occupation and obviously he excelled. Holding high level positions and receiving the utmost respect from his peers. He worked for the Burroughs Corporation and then Unisys. Dave moved many times to better himself. He lived in Colorado, New Mexico, Virginia, Arizona and Nevada. He was project manager working with the Bureau of Indian Affairs and other government branches. Dave had to get security clearance before going to work for JT3 in Nevada with the Department of Defense. He was taken to work by airplane daily, he would never disclose what his duties were to anyone.

Dave was married twice, first to Donna Webster Ferguson in 1985 in Albuquerque, NM where they both worked for the Burroughs Corporation. They met at a company golf tournament in 1983. Donna says that Dave was an excellent dancer and an avid golfer. He had two holes in one, one at Arroyo del Oso in Albuquerque and one at Buenaventura Golf Course in Ventura, California. His second marriage was to Becky Kauth in 1995 in Phoenix, Arizona and they had one child - Molly McKenna born in 2000. They moved to Las Vegas, NV. In 2002, they enjoyed the many attractions Vegas had to offer.

He is survived by his mother Betty of Douglas, WY, his former wife Becky and daughter Molly, both of Mesa, AZ, his sister, Mary Hopper, of Casper; brother Dan and Gina Carey of Lander, brother Doug and Janet Carey of Casper and brother John Carey and Margie Taggart of Douglas and many cousins and devoted friends.
