Carlson, Beverly Krank age 75, passed away at her home in Princeton on September 21, 2015 after a long struggle with fronto- temporal dementia. She was born June 28, 1940 in Minneapolis to Morris and Celia (Swatez) Krank. Beverly was a 1958 graduate of North High School. On July 31, 1964 she married Frans Peter Carlson. Together they raised four children. Beverly worked at a variety of jobs such as nursery school teacher for the Jewish Community Center, store detective for Dayton's and JCPenney, private investigator, and senior adult correctional officer for Hennepin County. Beverly's hobbies included acting in theater, belly dancing, genealogy, and serving her community. She was the first female police reserve officer for New Hope in the 1970s. She is survived by her husband, Frans; her four children, Patricia (Steven) Warner, Jerald (Sandra) Carlson, Daniel (Rita) Carlson, and Cathlene (Troy) Buchholz; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother Ronald Krank and sister Joyce (Robert) Liebo; brothers-in-law Lewis (Gail) Carlson and Philip Carlson; and many nieces and nephews. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law. A brief burial service will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, 15550 Hwy 115, Little Falls. A funeral service and shiva will follow at the home of Frans Carlson from 3 to 7 p.m. at 2894 115th Avenue, Princeton. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Beverly's name to the Friends of the Princeton Area Library, 100 4th Avenue South, Princeton, MN 55371.
