Memorial services for Cora Carlson were conducted Thursday, Dec. 19 at the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion. The Rev. Dwight Blackstock of the White Mountain Presbyterian Church officiated. The body of Cora Carlson was taken to Salt Lake City for cremation.
Mrs. Carlson, 88, of 1325 Sage Street, Rock Springs, died at 11:57 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County where she had been a patient for the past four days. A resident of Rock Springs for the past seven and a half years and former resident of Randall, Minn., Mrs. Carlson had been in ill health the past four days.
She was born in Little Falls, Minn., on April 8, 1897, the daughter of the late Theodore and Clara Floss Bredfield. She was a graduate of high school and received a teaching degree at Little Falls. She married Joseph Carlson at Little Falls on Aug. 15, 1923. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Carlson was a member of the Presbyterian Church and the Degree of Honor.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Norman (Edna) Larsen of Rock Springs; one brother, Fred Bredfield of Longview, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Royal (Edna) Lovingfoss of Castle Rock, Wash.; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Carlson was preceded in death by two brothers.
