Edna I. Carr, of the 800 block of Forbes St., died May 16, 1992, in her home.

Mrs. Carr was born in Norfolk. She was the widow of Lewis Carr Sr. and was a member of the Greater Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. She was also a member of the Women for Political Action Committee, the NAACP and the United Order of Tents, Elmi Elizabeth Tent 364.

Survivors include five sons, Lewis Carr Jr., Norman Carr and Sidney Carr, all of Norfolk, Alfred Skinner of Chesapeake, and Elbert Carr of Richmond; four sisters, Cleona Johnson, Lillian Stuart and Algerine Fairfax, all of Norfolk, and Jean Howard of New York; a brother, Leon Howard of Maryland; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Greater Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church by the Rev. Joseph Lamb. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Riddick Funeral Service. A United Order of Tent memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may join the family at the residence.
