She was the beloved wife of the late Edward W. Bernhart (2009). They had lived in Leesburg the last twenty years. She is survived by her twin sister Anna Ingram of Greenville, South Carolina and her only child Edward J. Bernhart DDS and his wife Jill K. Bernhart of Great Falls, Virginia, her grand children Brendan J. Bernhart DDS (Lori) of Fairfax, VA, Brian C. Bernhart (Sarah) of Charlotte, NC, Matthew E. Bernhart (Elizabeth) of Atlanta GA, Molly Bernhart Walker (Jason), Falls Church, VA, and five great-grandchildren.
Alma was born January 26, 1917 in Wheeling, WV to James Patrick Carr and Anna Trosch Carr. Alma worked for the U.S. Government serving in the Navy Department for thirty years. After retirement she donated time and services to numerous charities. She leaves numerous friends and acquaintances in the Leesburg area.
Funeral Services and interment at Arlington National Cemetery will be private only to immediate family.
