MUNCIE--Julieta Arguijo, 69, passed away Thursday evening, November 8, 2012 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born in El Paso, TX, the daughter of Rafael and Isabel (Perez) Carrillo. Julieta graduated from Burgess High School in El Paso, and moved to Muncie in the 1970's.
Mrs. Arguijo taught Spanish at St. Lawrence Catholic School for 17 years, and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and loved to cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose D. Arguijo, Sr.; two sons, Jason Arguijo and Christopher Arguijo, Sr.; and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, with Father Dennis Goth officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, or one hour prior to mass on Wednesday at the mortuary.
