Aurora Aguirre
Aurora C. Aguirre, 85, of Lodi, died Jan. 21 in Lodi. She was born Aurora C. Carrillo on Sept. 26, 1919, in Reynosa, Tamalipas, Mexico.

Mrs. Aguirre moved to Lodi in 1963. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Herlinda Garza and Esperanza Garcia, both of McAllen, Texas; son, Eddie E. Aguirre, of Lodi; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cayetano E. Aguirre in 1998; daughter, Gloria Aguirre in 2004; and brothers, Guadalupe Carrillo and Audin Carrillo.

A chapel service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Lodi Funeral Home with Deacon Porfi Cisneros of St. Anne's Catholic Church officiating. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Lodi Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Aid Society of Northern California, 105 S. Washington St., Lodi, CA 95240.
