Frances Carson Bryson, born February 18, 1925, passed away peacefully joining her husband, Paul, in heaven, who passed away in December of 2007. Born in Memphis TN, Frances grew up and lived in Berclair her entire life. She was a long time member of the Berclair Church of Christ where she was the secretary/bookkeeper for 37 years. Frances was the daughter of John and Delia Carson, one of 11 children. She is survived by her youngest brother, John Leslie Carson. Although Frances was one of the older children, preceeding her in death are her siblings: Edward Montelle Carson, William (Bill) Carson, twin sisters, Elma Horne and Alma Blakely, Flaucie Jones, Faye Browne, Carolyn Hawley, James Hester Carson, and most recently Bobby Jean Thurmond. Surviving Frances are her children: Paul Eugene "Gene" (Peggy) Bryson, Jr., Janet Bryson James and Kathy (Paul) Bryson Mazzanti. She leaves three dearly loved grandchildren: Timothy Paul (Kelly) Bryson, Ross James, Carrie Leigh Bryson Nidiffer and her two abundantly loved great-grandchildren: Garrett Paul Bryson, and Kaylee Grace Nidiffer. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews whom she cherished. Frances was a very creative, giving and caring person, friend and sister-in-Christ to her church family. She always placed others needs before her own. She was our inspiration, our role model and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was all this and so much more to so many others who were blessed to know her. The family would like to thank the staff at The Kings Daughters & Sons Home in Bartlett, TN and the Crossroads Hospice Staff for the loving care and attention given to Frances in her last days. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, and a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, April 10, both at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N.
