Carl W. Carter, 89, of San Diego died Sept. 24. He was born in Perris and was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of Fruit Growers of America. He was a former deacon at Covenant Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Cleo Carter; daughters, Lou Ellen Carter and Emily Carter; sons, Gordon Carter and Carl Carter; and two grandchildren.
Services: have been held.
Interment: Veterans Lawn, Greenwood Memorial Park, Interstate 805 and Imperial Avenue, San Diego.
