Friends of Dennis Carter Sr. (-1956) will regret to learn of his passing which occurred Saturday night at 9:00 at his residence in Florahome where he had resided since 1910. A native of Valdosta, Ga., he was a member of the A.M.E. Church, Rev. A. F. Alexander, pastor. He was affiliated with the Pallbearers Lodge No. 11.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from the Evergreen Baptist Church, Florahome, with Rev. A. F. Alexander officiating. Interment was made in the Putnam Hall Cemetery under the direction of D. A. Boyd and Sons Funeral Home.
Survivors are the wife, Mrs. Emily Carter; four daughters, Mrs. Carrie Hayes, New York, N.Y., Mrs. Catherine Hampton, Lottie, Fla., Mrs. Ola Mae Smith, Rochester, N.Y., and Mrs. Juanita Samz, Florahome; sons, Andrew Carter, Ft.
