Janice A. Betts, 62 of Middleburg, FL passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016. Mrs. Betts was born in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Middleburg 35 years ago from San Diego, California. She was a member of Lake Asbury Baptist Church and also attended Russell Baptist Church. Her love and faith in God was passed down to her children and grandchildren. She loved sitting out on the back patio to read her devotions and watch the birds. Playing the piano, singing, crocheting, gardening and cooking were a few things that Janice enjoyed doing. She loved her dogs, Daisy May, Misty and Tootsie, but her real passion was helping take care of with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Betts was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Melba Carter and is survived by her husband (a 20 year veteran of the US Navy), Joseph L. Betts, children, Nathan Betts, Katie Burnell and Sharon (John) Masterson, sister-in-law, Judy Betts, six grandchildren, Lauren, Levi, Blake, McKayla, Isaak and Ryan and one great grandson, Lucca.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 Saturday, November 19, 2016 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Heritage Section. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7:00 PM Friday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
