Doris A. Casamento, 85, formerly of Norwich and Daytona Beach, FL, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009 in Rome, NY. Doris was born December 19, 1923, in the town of Leyden, the daughter of Jacob and Ella (Rowsam) Leichty. She was a registered nurse in Norwich for over 25 years. She is survived by two daughters, Karen (James) Reilly and Kathleen Hill; two sons, Joseph (Sandra) Casamento of Fabius and Antonio Casamento; and seven grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Bartholomew's Church in Norwich. Calling hours will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 68 S. Broad St., Norwich. Burial will take place in the spring in St. Paul's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Chenango Memorial Hospital Foundation, 179 N. Broad St., Norwich, NY 13815 or to the charity of your choice.
