Martha (Zada) Collins, age 92, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at her home. She was one of the founding members of North Knoxville Baptist Church. Aunt Zada never had children of her own, but helped raise and was a loving aunt and mother to many generations.
She was a loving wife of 62 years to the late Raymond Collins, who preceded her in death in 2002; also preceding her in death are her parents, George and Irene Cash; sister, Jeanette Bryant; brothers, PeeWee, James, and Kenneth Cash; and a beloved niece, Linda Alfrey. Survived by special niece and caregiver, Leslie Wall, her husband Matt and their family; and many other loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Monday May 2, 2016 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with service to follow at 7:30 p.m. with Reverend Don Jones officiating. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery (Sutherland Ave.) at 2:45 p.m., Tuesday May 3, 2016 for graveside services at 3:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2016 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
