Anderson, Jan 29 [1922] -- Mrs Fannie Cathcart Allen, wife of J H Allen, died in Anderson last Monday. Mrs Allen was the daughter of the late Elias and Sallie Cathcart and was born in Spartanburg county March 1, 1871. She was married to Mr Allen September 14, 1889. She was active in church work at Orrville Methodist church, where she was a member and at which place the funeral was held. A large host of friends gathered to pay their last respects to this good woman. She was preceded to the grave by her parents and one small son. She is survived by husband and daughter, Frances. Also the following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs Calvan Knight of Woodruff, Mrs L W Johnson [Anna Cathcart Johnson] of Gilbert, Mrs Charles Wiggins of Greenwood, Mrs S R Timmerman of Newberry, George H Cathcart and Lawrence Cathcart of Spartanburg.
