Mrs. Laura Lynch Barnett, a resident of Baxter RD 1, died in her residence Sunday.
She was born in Armstrong County, Mahoning Township, 16 Jan 1888, the daughter of Samuel S. and Mary Houser Cathcart. She was married to Merle B. Barnett of Knox Township in Brookville 11 May 1911. Mrs. Barnett was a member of the Evan UB Church.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. Elmo Daugherty, Brookville; Lloyd Barnett, Punxsatawney RD 1; Dale Barnett, Brookville RD 3; Clyde Barnett, Knox RD 1; Paul E. Barnett, Brookville RD 3; Gerald W. Barnett, Brookville RD 3; Mrs. Carl (Lois) Carrier, Brookville RD 3 and Roy E. Barnett, Shippenville RD 1.
There are 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Charles Cathcart, Oak Ridge; Lawrence Cathcart, New Bethlehem and Mrs. Annabelle Yount, Shippenville.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Donald C. Galbraith Funeral Home, Brookville. Rev. Robert Berbebile, pastor of the Evan UB Church, Brookville, will officiate.
Interment will be made in the St. John Cemetery.
