Virgie (Caudill) Banks was the daughter of Benjamin F. "Ben" and Rachel (Ison) Caudill. She married Boyd Banks on October 3, 1936, in Letcher County, KY. They had at least four children: Homer Banks, Julie Banks, Jackie B. Banks and Janice Banks.

Mrs. Boyd Banks
Mrs. Virgie Banks, of Whitco, Ky., passed from this life on Friday, Oct. 18th, 1946, at the Jenkins Hospital, where she had been a patient for a week. For two months she had been ill, and no amount of loving care or medical treatment seemed to help her regain her health. She was the daughter of the late Ben F. and Rachel Caudill and was born on Sept. 23rd, 1906, being 40 years, and 25 days of age at her death. In 1936 she was married to Boyd Banks and to them was born four children, one deceased, and three surviving: Julie, Janis and Judy. Mrs. Banks was a good, sweet wife and mother. Her passing has left a vacancy in the home that can never be filled. Funeral services were held at the residence of Uncle Bony Banks, Ice, Ky., on Sunday, Oct. 20, 1946 at 10:00 A. M. with Elders Caleb Creech, Riley Fouts, Felix Fields and A. R. York officiating. Burial in the Family Lot of the Banks Cemetery, Ice, Ky., Craft Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
