ABRAMS, ROSEMARY CECIL, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 in her 67th year. She was a beloved and devoted friend, wife, daughter-in-law, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. Her life was an inspiring model of dedication, hard work and perseverance in the face of daunting challenges. As the sole support of three young children, Rosemary determined that they would have every advantage she could afford, and she acquired the skills to become a legal secretary. Later, at an age when most people are looking forward to retirement, Rosemary started her own clothing business. She operated Faux Furs by Rosemary for several years until she was stricken with breast cancer. Chemotherapy devastated Rosemary's body and health, and left her with a host of ailments that changed her life forever. Still, she remained optimistic, and was as active as her health would permit, and loved nothing more than to be with her family and a menagerie of rescued dogs and cats. Rosemary was preceded in death by her grandmother, Odette Hardy Cecil, grandfather, Richard D. Cecil, mother, Helen Willett Cecil, and father, Richard D. Cecil, Jr. Rosemary is survived by her husband, Lawrence Kushner Abrams, her uncle, Anthony G. Cecil (Barbara), her brother, Richard D. Cecil, Jr. (Elaine), sisters, Debra Cecil Harrett (David) and Gayle Rutledge (Don), her father-in-law, Elwyn Abrams, her sister-in-law, Lorraine Abrams Yussman, her brother-in-law, James Lowell Abrams, her daughter, Christine Marie Hill (Derek), sons, Sean Richard Bohn (Tara) of Bardstown, Kentucky, and Eugene Bohn, grandsons, James Hill II, Sean Bohn II and Cameron Bohn, granddaughters, Rachel Hill and Martha Bohn, and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation and a celebration of her life will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 at Pearson's, 149 Breckinridge Lane. Expressions of sympathy may be made to The American Diabetes Association, Louisville or The Humane Society of the United States.
