YORK The angels of the Lord came and ushered Carol Lynn Cessna to Heaven on Monday, June 16, 2014, from her home, surrounded by her family. Born on March 8, 1955 in Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Helen (Beegle) and Robert L. Cessna. She graduated from YorkVo-Tech majoring in commercial arts. Carol was employed by Honeywell in the soldering department. She was a beloved "Nana" to her grandchildren whom she adored. She loved crafts, music (especially the Rolling Stones) and gardening. Carol's signature colors were black and gold. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Teah Spence and husband, Justin Olewiler, and Tessah Spence and companion, Michael Schrum; grandchildren, Braiden, Haileigh, Avery, Chloe, Ella; siblings, Karl Cessna and wife, Fran, Robert "Perry" Cessna and wife, Nancy, Tom Cessna and, wife Mary, Sue Ferguson and, husband Gary, Don Cessna and, wife Carol, Ted Cessna and, wife Alexis, Kathy Ingraham and, husband, Rick, and Robin Robinson and, husband Charley; a special friend, Margo Murray; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings, Gary, Scott, Janey Cessna. A visitation will be on Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at St. Jacobs Lutheran Church, 99 E. George St., York New Salem, Pa., 17371. The Celebration of Life Services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Lisa Hair and Pastor Richard Dennis officiating. Interment will be in Bedford. Gladfelter Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
