He graduated from Hardin High School and then went on and received his degree from Stephen F. Austin University. He served his country in U.S. Army. Bobby worked in the oilfield industry for Texaco Oil for twenty-five years before retiring.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, brothers; John Cessna and wife Darla of Bullard, TX, Don Cessna and wife Mary Jane of Lufkin, TX, and Alfred Marvin Cessna and wife Betty of Alvin, TX.
