Geneva Grace Plaut, 95, of Clifton, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, at Community Care Inc., Clifton.
She was born Sept. 16, 1914, in Ingalls, to Bert David and Minnie Ida Withers Cessna. She grew up in Ingalls, graduated from Ingalls High School and obtained her teaching degree from Wichita State University. She taught school in Ingalls, Salina and Hutchinson and was a patron of the fine arts.
On Sept. 27, 1951, she married Carl Plaut. He died in 1994. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Forrest and Vernon Cessna; and a sister, Dorothy Cessna Pfister.
Survivors include a sister, Juanita Cessna-Puckett of Garden City, and numerous nieces and nephews.
