"Services for Cora M. Brown, 80, of Roseville, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Memory Chapel. Interment will be in Placerville Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died Aug. 31 at Carmichael hospital.
A native of Bemidji, Minn., she had been a resident of El Dorado County prior to moving to Roseville 38 years ago. She last worked as an assistant cook for the DeWitt Hospital in Auburn. She had been the postmaster in Fairplay for seven years and was the last postmaster in Fairplay when that office closed.
Mrs. Brown is survived by sons Eugene Carlson of Wheatland, Arlo Carlson of Roseville and Meryl Carlson of Grass Valley; daughter Anna Marie Scarberry of Orangevale; brothers Charles Chandler of Placerville and Earl Chandler of Placerville and Earl Chandler of Boise, Idaho; sisters Fern Littiecoat of Georgetown and Edna Everhart of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren."
