Mona Ball, 85, of Valley Station, died Thursday at Humana Hospital-Southwest. She was the former Mona Chapman, a native of Pike County and a member of Primitive Baptist Church and Humana Senior Citizens. Survivors: four daughters, Eiland Crumpley of Dallas, Texas, Mildred Hatfield of McAndrews, Elmoie Chapman of Zanesville, Ohio, and Lois Ann Ball of Valley Station; two brothers, Fred Chapman of Heath, Ohio, and Jonah Chapman of Cannon, Ga.; four sisters, Delia Vance and Bertha Schmitt, both of Tampa, Fla., Ruth Allen of Detroit and Sarah Dotson of Phelps; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday, Rogers Funeral Home, Belfry. Burial: Coe-burn Point Cemetery, Huddy. Visitation: W. G. Hardy Valley Funeral Home, 10907 Dixie Highway, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, and Rogers Funeral Home, 1-10 p.m. Sunday. Memorial gifts: American Heart Association, American Lung Association or Arthritis Foundation.
