Services for Esther Vaught Adams, 82, of Fort Worth, formerly of Tyler, are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with the Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery in Tyler. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 2 p.m., one hour prior to services.

Mrs. Adams went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, in Fort Worth. She was born Sept. 11, 1927, in Lindale to the late Sabe and Onie Landrum Chapman. She was preceded in death by husbands, Hubert Vaught and Bill Adams; two brothers; and three sisters. She lived in Tyler for 35 years, was a homemaker and was a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons, Larry and Cindy Vaught, Ron and Joyce Vaught and Billy Adams, all of Fort Worth; a sister and brother-in-law, Theola Thedford Yaden and Senka of Tyler; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Virginia Kennedy.

Pallbearers will be Don Thedford, Gary Thedford and David Kennedy, Larry and Steve Vaught and E. Ryan Marshall. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Alliance of N.E. Texas Inc., 211 Winchester Drive, Tyler, 75701.
