MARY EVELINA (CHAREST) BIALKOWSKI

Mary Evelina Bialkowski (née Charest), 89, born in Brockton, MA, died suddenly and peacefully in her New Mexico home on 5 January, following an exciting Christmastime gathering of most of her children and grandchildren.

Her death was preceded by brothers Normand Charest and Robert Charest, and she is survived by five younger siblings (Rudy Charest, Rose Marie Merrill, Jeanne MacNamara, Blanche Greeno, and Barbara McRae) and their families; children (Kate Fenner, Normand Johnson, and Maureen Schmunk, and George Bialkowski) and their families.

Evey survived two husbands: Arthur Nels Johnson, whose remains were donated for medical research, and her remains will rest adjacent to those of John Bialkowski at Deltona Memorial Gardens (Orange City, FL); there will be a small family service on site. Tributes will be welcomed by the Civil Air Patrol (NMCAP, P.O. Box 5069, Kirtland AFB, NM 87185-5069; please designate "For the Santa Fe Squadron, in memory of Mary E. Bialkowski". Please do not send flowers.
