"Mrs. Rose (Chase) Armstrong, widow of the late Selkirk Armstrong and for many years a resident of Mt. Vision, passed away Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Herman Harrison. Death came after an illness of some duration. She was born March 9, 1851, a daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth (Cheney) Chase. Most of her early life was spent in Hartwick. When a young woman she joined the Christian church. Surviving besides the above mentioned daughter are: one son, Charles Armstrong of Hartwick; four grandsons, Charles Armstrong, Jr. and Ford, Paul and Glenn Harrison, and a nephew and niece, Floyd and Belle Weeks of Jersey City. The funeral services will be held from the Harrison home on Wednesday afternoon at 2'oclock. Interment will be in the Mt. Vision cemetery."
