Irene C. Baker went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 15, 2016. She was born in Bellingham, WA, on August 14, 1924 to Park and Sophia Chetwood.
Irene graduated from Bellingham High and earned a B.A. at Whitman and an M.A at WWU. She taught Drama and Speech at Bellingham High School and Speech at WWU. Irene was active in her faith and was a teaching leader for Bible Study Fellowship for many years.
She is survived by her son Chet (Janell) Baker of Coupeville, WA, son Tim (Pat) Baker of Longview, daughter Joan Frazier (Jim Kolb) of Bellingham, grandchildren Jack, Dan, Andrew, Bryn, Molly, and Tom, six great-grandchildren, and many loving relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Jack Baker, son-in-law Jack Frazier, grandson Brian Baker, brother Gage Chetwood and sister Pauline Barbo. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Westford Funeral Home at 11 AM on Thursday, December 22nd. Reception following.
