Mrs. Anderson was a retired secretary from the Atlanta Public Schools and had lived in Baldwin County for the past 28 years after moving from Atlanta. She is a member of the Hardwick Baptist church. Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her Mother and Father, Paul and Edna Gilbert Chipman and her husband Hugh Merritt Anderson; her twin sister, Polly Sauls, a brother Frank Chipman.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by a daughter, Sandra (Wilson) Fountain of Milledgeville, a son Hugh M. "Rusty" (Christy) Anderson, Jr. of Tennessee, four grandchildren; Stacey Fountain of Milledgeville, Jennifer (Andy) Baltzegar of North Carolina, Rachael (Matt) Adams of Tennessee and Brandy Anderson of Atlanta.
