Under this stone lie buried LOUISA MARIA CHOWNE daughter of the Rev. W.K. MARSHALL and wife of Sir Robert ANSTRUTHER of Balcaskie 5th Baronet 13 February 1835 – 25 January 1913 - “The Fruit Of The Spirit Is Gentleness, Goodness, Faith” - and her granddaughter MARGARET CHRISTIAN eldest daughter of Sir Ralph ANSTRUTHER of Balcaskie 6th Baronet 16 August 1887 – 8 September 1925 - “They That Are Christ’s Have Crucified The Flesh” Beneath this stone lie the mortal remains of ROBERT Edward ANSTRUTHER, Yr. of Balcaskie, Captain in the Black Watch, Royal Highlanders b. at Aldershot 4th April 1890 died at Banchory 22nd July 1921 from disease following on 3 severe wounds received in action in 1914,1915 and 1917 “He being made perfect in a short time fulfilled a ling time for his soul pleased the lord therefore hasted he to take him away”
