Mrs. Lillie I. Alertson, 76, a Northwood resident 45 years, died Tuesday at her home here. Born June 6, 1888, at Grinnell she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole B. Christianson. She was married to Osmen Alertson May 6, 1908, at Grinnell. They farmed at Deer Creek many years. Her husband and a son preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Leslie, rural Northwood; and three daughters, Orpha, at home; Mrs. Alfred (Alice) Hanson; Mrs. Merlin (Helen) Spilde, rural Northwood; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five sisters, all at Grinnell.
