Funeral Services for Audrey Marie Ahlschlager, 77, of Minneota, were held Monday, Sept. 25, at Hope Lutheran Church in Minneota.

Audrey Marie Ahlschlager was born on June 18, 1929, in Mashall. She was the daughter of Carl and Anna Pearson Christianson. She attended school in Minneota and graduated from Minneota High School in 1947. She worked as a telephone operator in Minneota before her marriage to Christ Leonard Ahlschlager at Hope Lutheran Church on June 17, 1949. After her family had grown, she worked as a restuarant cook and waitress. She died at Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center on Sept 22, 2006.

She was very active in Hope Lutheran Church and was an avid flower gardener. She enjoyed reading and liked to sing and play the piano. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and was a Gold Star Mother. Her strong faith in God enabled her to be an example to her children and those around her.

She is survived by children, Bruce of Mankato, David (Bai) of Flandreau, S.D., Colette of Minneota, Susan (Darrin) Hatletvedt of Porter and Nona Fay (Greg) Gottskalkson of Canby; 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also by brothers Carl Christianson of Minneota and Robert of St James.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons, Delbert and Alan, two sisters and five brothers.
