Joseph Claiborne, affectionately known as "Uncle Joe" passed away Sunday October 21, 2012 at the young age of 98. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edna Lange Claiborne and Joseph Henry Claiborne, Sr., his siblings, Beatrice C. Hazeur and John H. Claiborne, Jr. and his wife Cora Alexander Claiborne. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA and served his country in the US Army in WWII. He was employed by Mayflowers Moving Co., the Office of Community Services, SUNO and the State of Louisiana at the Tulane Bldg. Joseph was one of the founding members of the Epicureans Social Club and he attended St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.
