Freddie always looked and found the good in everyone she met and taught her family to do the same. She was born to H.B. and Etta Clare. She grew up in San Antonio attending Breckenridge High School where she was head drum major for the Breckenridge Marching Band in her senior year. She attended business college in Houston. After graduation she went to work at Southwestern Bell where she met the love of her life, Bill. They were married sixty- five years and enjoyed those years as a team, it was always Freddie and Bill. She left the phone company after they were married and held the most important job in life, being a wife and mother. She was CEO of the family and held that position until the end. She taught her children well and set an example for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. While living in Houston Freddie June and Bill were charter members of Terrace United Methodist Church and Freddie June was an active member of the Texas Star Garden Club. Freddie June and Bill spent their retirement years at their farm in Austin County and were active members of Industry United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William J. Blanks, her sister Helen Pennywell and her brother Tex Clare. She is survived by her son, Wayne Blanks and his wife, Diane; her daughter, Janet Vavricka and her husband, Charlie; grandchildren, Amee' Maxwell; Russell Blanks; Kara Irvine and her husband, Keith; Jennifer Haas and her husband, Derrick, and Charliann Vavricka. Also, great-grandchildren, Luke Haas, Will Haas, Emory Irvine and Korbin Irvine. Pallbearers are Russell Blanks, Charles Vavricka, Derrick Haas, Keith Irvine, Dan Pennywell and Carlton Parker.
