Homer G. Clark, 89, a pioneer farmer and postal employee of Idaho Falls and vicinity for the past 63 years, died Monday at his home.

Mr. Clark suffered a stroke on June 5 and has been ill since that time.

He was born Aug. 4, 1873 at Davenport, Iowa, a son of George H. and Katherine Clark. As a young man he moved with his family to Diller, Neb.

Dec. 28, 1898, he married Elizabeth R. Emery of Diller, where they farmed until 1900, when they moved to Idaho. Mr. Clark farmed several properties near Idaho Falls until 1918 when he entered the postal service. He was a rural mail carrier until 1939, when he retired.

He was one of the first members of the First Christian Church of Idaho Falls and has been an active member since. He had served in many offices of the church.

Surviving are his widow, three sons, Burt H. Clark, Pocatello; Carroll G. Clark and Woodrow W. Clark, both of Weiser; three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Grace) Dixon, Idaho Falls; Mrs. Fred (Pearl) Blake, Lawndale, Calif., and Mrs. Emil (Beatrice) Zitlau of Woodland Hills, Calif. One son, Clem, and two daughters, Lillie and Fern, preceded him in death. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Bassett of Long Beach, Calif.
