Charles served 10 years as a Police officer for the City of Kennesaw and in more recent years was a Supervisor for the Southeastern Site Development Company. He was a member of the Gospel Pilgrim Quartet and was a member of Free Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran.

Daughter, Tiffany Layne Donnelly, Dallas;
Sons, Eric Clark, Woodstock and Jason Clark of Dallas.
