Adrian was born to John Terrell Clark and Mary Ann Fielding Clark on 9 July 1895 in Taylor, Bonneville, Idaho. He was the first of nine children born to this couple. Shortly after his fourth birthday he became ill with appendicitis. He was taken to Ogden to be operated on, but passed away 24 July 1899. It was a very sad time for the couple and his mother grieved so much she developed leakage of the heart. She was never well from that time.
