Vera Elizabeth Carey, 70 of Shelley, died January 21, 1985 at an Idaho Falls hospital. She was born October 6, 1914, at Taylor, Idaho, the daughter of John and Mary Fielding Clark. She attended schools at Taylor and Shelley. Her parents died when she was young and she lived with relatives. Vera married Leon Benjamin Wilson, 17 June 1933. Ronald and Donald were born to this marriage. They were divorced. She married Harold Carey in October 1939, at Pinedale, Wyoming. After their marriage they lived in Idaho Falls, Salt Lake City and Lander, Wyoming. To this marriage was born Kenneth, Sandra and Raymond.

They moved to Shelley in 1979 where they have since resided. She was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors are her husband, sons Ken, Don, Ron, and stepson, Gene, and a brother, Denzle Clark, 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant children: Sandra Lee and Raymond Jack, and three sisters.

Burial is in the Taylor Cemetery
