Velma May Barningham, 102, of Boise died November 27, 2010 at her residence. Arrangements are pending at Cloverdale Funeral Home.

Velma Barningham, 102, died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Cloverdale Funeral Home with viewing prior to service.

Velma was born July 7, 1908 in Nampa, ID. She married Wilbur S. Barningham, October 3, 1930, in Nampa and gave birth to two sons, Lawrence and Carl. After moving to Boise, Velma became involved in building and maintaining numerous apartments and houses with her husband. Velma and Wilbur spent many a Saturday dancing the night away at the Mardi Gras in downtown Boise. Velma enjoyed teaching her grandchildren about fishing and they have many stories to share with their children along with the fishing tips learned from Grandma. Velma always enjoyed beautiful flowers and spent many hours tending her garden.

Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence W. and Margaret Barningham and Carl J. and Donna Barningham; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1- great-great grandchild.

Velma was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur S. Barningham and 3 grandchildren.
