Mildred was age 7 in the 1900 census in North Lubec with her parents Jesse and Ada. Her father was a carpenter. Shortly thereafter the family moved to Windham Maine where Jesse purchased a farm. Their son Leslie was with them and a laborer on the farm. Mildred was also residing with her parents and was age 17. They sold the farm and moved to Portland after Mildred's marriage in 1917.
Mildred married Philip V.G. Anderson June 12, 1917. They had two children, Margaret, the second child born in 1921, went to nursing school in Boston and married Donald Phillips of Lynn Mass. The first child, John Clarke Anderson, died as an infant in 1919 in Portland Maine. In the 1930 census in Portland Philip was 44 yrs of age and was a service manager at an automobile station and Mildred was 37 and residing with them was daughter Margaret J. age 8 and Mildred's mother Ada (Huckins) Clark, age 72 and then a widow.
