Mrs. Barney was born in Chicago on August 31, 1893 the daughter of Peter and Emma Cummings Cody. On January 6, 1912 she was united in marriage to Theodore Barney at Chicago. She has made her home with her son-in-law, Floyd Worden since the death of her daughter.
Her husband, a daughter, Onetta, and a son preceded her in death.
A member of the First Baptist Church and the Women's Relief Corps, she is survived by three brothers, Wilbert Cody, Harvey, George Cody, Chicago and John Cody of California. Also three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Kebil-Coultrip Funeral Home Friday afternoon, Nov. 6 with the Rev. Archie Wymore officiating.l Burial will be in the Elmwood cemetery.
