Helen was born June 28, 1924 in Pittsburg, KS the daughter of Guy T. and Dixie Anna (Heatwole) Coghill.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was
a graduate of Pittsburg High School in 1942. She also attended Kansas State Teachers College. In Helen's earlier years she worked as a secretary for Joe Smith Tobacco Company in Pittsburg, KS and AVON in Kansas City, MO.
On December 26, 1957 Helen married William Louis Blair in Pittsburg, KS; he preceded her in death on June 1, 1963.
Helen was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pittsburg, KS; a 50 year member of PEO; was known as a savvy businesswomen and homemaker.
Survivors include her children Diane Blair and Jim Feistner of Frontenac, KS and Bill Blair and Karen Sykes of Rogers, AR; nephews Joe Lessen and wife Ramona of Germantown, MD and Rob Lessen and wife Bette of Arma, KS and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings Betty Lessen and Frank Charles Coghill.
Funeral Services will be 10:00am Wednesday February 4, 2015 at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS with Chaplain Adah Hutchcraft officiating.
Burial will follow at the Highland Park Cemetery in Pittsburg, KS. Family will receive friends from 6-7pm Tuesday February 3, 2015 at the Bath-Naylor
Funeral Home in Pittsburg, KS; friends may call after 12pm Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers the family asks expressions of sympathy to be in the form of memorials to the Via Christi Village Alzheimer's Unit. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway Pittsburg, KS 66762.
